Elda Sorra

Elda Sorra (* 1978 in Tirana , Albania ) is a German-Albanian actress .

Life

Elda Sorra was born in Tirana in 1978 during the communist dictatorship under Enver Hoxha . In 1990 the family fled to the German embassy in Tirana and spent eight days there with over 3,000 other Albanian refugees. After several stays at home in Germany, Sorra came to Lemgo (East Westphalia), where the family that had lost each other during the escape reunited. There Sorra later attended the Marianne-Weber-Gymnasium and played volleyball for TV Lemgo in the national league.

In 2004, Sorra completed her training at the Arturo Drama School in Cologne and initially worked in various theater gangements, including the Landestheater Schleswig , Theo Otto Theater in Remscheid, Theater Tiefrot in Cologne and HAU-Theater in Berlin.

Sorra was seen in German television series such as “ Pastewka ”, “ Alles Klara ”, “ Nikola ”, “Herzog”, “ Block B - Unter Arrest ” as well as in the television films “Tomorrow I clean up” and “ See that you land win ". 2015 Sorra was seen in the movie " The Flowers of Yesterday " by Chris Kraus .

The short film "Pamçka" is Sorra's directorial debut, for which she also wrote the script and produced the film herself with her younger sister Jorida Sorra (also an actress). In addition to Ilona Schulz , the sisters also play the leading roles. Elda Sorra lives in Berlin.
