The Electricidade de Timor-Leste EDTL (Eletricidade de Timor-Leste) is the electricity supplier in East Timor . The company is based in Dili . EDTL was founded in 1999.

The general director is Virgílio Fátima Guterres (as of 2017).

The EDTL includes the heavy oil power plant in Hera with a total output of 119 MW, the Central Eléctrica de Betano ( light oil / natural gas ) with 136 MW and the Inur-Sacato power plant (light oil / natural gas) with 17.3 MW. The operator of the power plants is the Finnish Wärtsila with a five-year contract until 2022 .
