It is a thermal power plant with four generators that can be operated with light oil or natural gas . A gas and steam combined cycle power plant complements this. The total output is 17.3 MW. It was built by the Finnish company Wärtsilä . Previously, in Oe-Cusse Ambeno, electricity was only generated by the hour using diesel generators. Wärtsilä also took on the training of local staff and operation until 2022.
