The Tatalina River is an approximately 80 km long right tributary of the Takotna River in the southwestern interior of Alaska .

The river has its source in the Kuskokwim Mountains at an altitude of about 380  m . From there it flows in a north-easterly direction through the hill country. It shows numerous bends in the river and oxbow lakes . Finally, it flows 3 km north of McGrath into the Takotna River, 4.4 km above its mouth in the Kuskokwim River . 40 km above the estuary, north of the river, is the Tatalina LRRS Airport and the disused Tatalina Air Force Station .
