Eleftheria Arvanitaki ( Greek Ελευθερία Αρβανιτάκη , born October 17, 1957 in Piraeus ) is a Greek singer . She sings exclusively in the Greek language and her music is strongly influenced by traditional Greek music, but in Greece it is more likely to be classified as pop music. She is one of the most commercially successful artists in Greece and appeared together with other singers in 2004 at the festivities for the closing of the Olympic Games in Athens .

Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Alkistis Protopsalti have been performing in a series of concerts in Greece since November 2013 . In February 2014, she performed at the sold-out Carnegie Hall in New York .
