Eleftherios "Lefteris" Poupakis ( Greek Ελευθέριος "Λευτέρης" Πουπάκης , * December 28, 1946 ) is a former Greek football goalkeeper .

Player career

Poupakis began his career with Egaleo AO Athens in 1966. In 1974 he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus . In 1975 he won the double in Greece with the red and white. In 1979 he went to the Mediterranean island of Crete to OFI Crete . He returned to the mainland three years later and signed with Panathinaikos Athens for a year . In 1983 he returned to Olympiakos. After only one year he went to Apollon Smyrnis and let his career end there.

Internationally, Poupakis played six times for the Greek national team . He took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy and retired with the team as bottom group in the preliminary round. He was on the pitch at a game.
