from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The electronic press is a press review on a digital basis, in response to the media monitoring is transmitted electronically.

Electronic press reviews are used by companies , authorities and journalists to find out about current media coverage and news. The transmission takes place on the basis of a subscription or on the basis of the allocation within a company. Electronic press reviews are typically transmitted with the help of emails .

There are different types of electronic press reviews. They can be based on the classic press reviews ( clipping services ), in which almost exclusively printed material such as newspaper and magazine articles is used. They can act as multimedia press services in which television and radio broadcasts are also evaluated and made available for information. Either transcripts or audio and video clippings are provided.

Like the classic press reviews, the electronic press reviews are intended exclusively for internal use. They may therefore no longer be used or even marketed. A discussion in the course of the amendment to copyright law is ongoing and may lead to a change in the market.
