eleVate was a German rock band that was founded in Karlsruhe in 1997 under the name SLAM by Andy Fechner, Marcus Fechner, Christian "Angel" Engel and Stefan Schoch. After Angel left the group, the band played as a trio before breaking up in 2012.
history
The band consisted of the musicians Andy Fechner ( vocals , bass ), Marcus Fechner ( guitar ) and the drummer Stefan Schoch.
In 2002 the band released their debut album Mankind's Dream on the Deshima Music label .
Numerous concert series followed, including as the opening act for Nena , Manfred Mann's Earth Band and Steppenwolf . During this phase, the band's record company was in financial difficulties, which ultimately led to bankruptcy. The band was able to break away from the label, but the rights to Mankind's Dream were initially transferred to the record company's bankruptcy estate. At the time, fourth band member Angel left the band. The rest of the trio Andy, Marcus and Stefan were able to pull themselves together and immediately started working on new song material. After an intensive phase of work and a showcase in the HardRock Cafe in Munich, a new label was won with Artists & Acts.
In 2007 the band produced their first single on the new label, called Not Out Of Mind . With Through A Child's Eyes , the second single was released in November of the same year.
In April 2008 the band released their third single, Beyond Imagination . 2 months later their second album followed with ... every single day . 'The importance of the moment' is the main theme on "... every single day!" The album received good reviews and the band promoted the album live on the club tour and in support of " Stanfour " on their tour. The band also gave numerous unplugged concerts, as the songs were based on "... every single day!" mainly composed on acoustic instruments.
On May 29, 2009, Time Will Fly, the first single for a new album, was released and will be broadcast on many German radio stations. Among other things, the song made it to 1st place in the SWR3 listener charts.
On February 26, 2010, the band released another single called The Day Of Days . When the single is released, the band will be "MySpace Featured Artist". Due to the victory, the band accompanied the American rock band Blue October on their Germany tour .
In March 2011 eleVate released their third studio album No Shadow Without Light .
In April 2012 eleVate gave a farewell concert in Miltenberg and then broke up.
