Elfin Cove is a fishing village of 32 people and is located on the north coast of Chichagof Island on the Cross Sound in Alaska , 100 km west of Juneau and 50 km west of Hoonah . 30 residents have commercial fishing licenses. The village has a safe, sheltered harbor. There has been a shop, restaurant and dock here since the 1920s, and a post office since 1935.
