life and work

Together with Bertram Haid , Elias Schneitter designed weekly cartoons for various newspapers as part of the BAES duo until 2005. Edition BAES, which Elias Schneitter operates from Zirl, also emerged from this collaboration. The concept of a low lectured edition is used.

As a co-organizer of the Sprachsalz literary festival in Hall in Tirol, Elias Schneitter has meanwhile become a promoter of American beatniks for the German-speaking area.

In Elias Schneitter's stories, mostly marginal figures take stock who missed the planned life and found another. The heroes often condense their disaster into a wisdom that they get rid of late at night. One of the main characters is the "Central poet", who observes the world from Café Central and who has already packed his entire oeuvre in a box for the entrance.
