Elio Aggiano
Elio Aggiano (born March 15, 1972 in Brindisi ) is a former Italian cyclist .
Aggiano began his professional career in 1997 at Ceramiche Refin-Mobilvetta . After a year he switched to Vitalicio Seguros and celebrated his first successes at the Mallorca Challenge . In 1999 he won his first tour, the Vuelta a Castilla y León , and took part in the Tour de France in July . After three years with the Italian sports group, he moved to Mapei . In his second year there, he won stages at the Uniqa Classic , the Tour of Denmark and the Tour du Poitou-Charentes . After a year with Formaggi Pinzolo , during which he won a stage in the Giro del Trentino , he joined the Italian team LPR. In 2005 he celebrated a stage win at the Settimana Internazionale , and in 2006 he won the seventh stage of the Tour de Langkawi . For the 2007 season he moved to the Tinkoff Credit Systems team .
