Elio Palumbo

Elio Palumbo (born June 16, 1933 in Taranto , † July 27, 2004 in Rome ) was an Italian music producer and film director .

Life

Palumbo worked as a television director for the Rai in the 1950s and 1960s, and from around 1965 onwards he mainly devoted himself to the production of music titles and the organization of concerts.

In the 1970s, he and his brother Franco founded two music publishers, Yep and WJK Record , with which he mainly brought out pop and hit music . From the middle of the decade he was also successful as a songwriter, for example for I Santo California and Flavia Fortunato . He often drew as Eliop .

Under the pseudonym Helia Colombo , he shot the inexpensive Giallo La polizia brancola nel buio in 1973 based on his own script in a Turkish co-production , which was only premiered three years later.
