Elisabeth Ganswindt

Elisabeth Ganswindt (born May 30, 1900 in Kalthof ; † August 27, 1983 in Stade ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Ganswindt worked from 1926 to 1928 as a youth welfare officer at the welfare school of the Catholic Women's Association of Germany (KFB) in Berlin-Charlottenburg . In 1928/29 she completed training for the female criminal police in Berlin . She initially worked in Berlin, switched to the criminal police in Danzig in 1931 and had worked in the same position in Hamburg since 1940 . She retired in 1947 after an accident at work. Ganswindt worked as an honorary main welfare officer at the Association of Caritas in Hamburg until 1955 and had been a member of the deputation of the Hamburg youth authority since 1953 .

Political party

Ganswindt had been a member of the CDU since 1950.

MPs

Ganswindt belonged to the German Bundestag from November 9, 1955, when she replaced the deceased MP Hans Griem , until 1957. She entered parliament via the Hamburg state list.
