Elisabeth Olischar (born May 10, 1988 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Since 2015 she has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council , where she has been the club chairwoman since June 2018.

Life

Elisabeth Olischar attended the Albertus Magnus School in Vienna in the 18th district of Vienna, where she graduated in 2006 . She then studied spatial planning and spatial planning at the Vienna University of Technology , graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree . In 2013 she completed a degree in landscape planning and landscape architecture at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, with a thesis on the aesthetic effect of vertical greening in indoor spaces . Since September 2014 she has been studying agricultural education at the University of Agricultural and Environmental Education in Vienna. She is a member of the Vienna State Hunting Association and the Austrian Horticultural Society.

politics

From 2008 to 2013 she was the district chairwoman of the Young People's Party Vienna-Döbling , and from October 2010 to November 2015 she also served there as the ÖVP district councilor. Since 2012 she has been the regional chairman of the Young ÖVP Vienna. On the ÖVP state list for the Vienna municipal council election in October 2015 , Olischar ran for second place behind Manfred Juraczka .

On November 24, 2015, at the beginning of the 20th electoral term , she was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament or a member of the Vienna City Council. Since then, she has also been the club chairman's deputy and replaced Manfred Juraczka in his position as club chairman on June 5, 2018. Since December 2, 2015, she has been a member of the Committee for Urban Development, Transport, Climate Protection, Energy Planning and Citizen Participation.
