Elisenhof (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elisenhof is a former residential area in the Regenwalde district in the Pomeranian province , now in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

The desert is in Western Pomerania , about 70 km east of Stettin and about 6 km south of the district town of Łobez (Labes) .

The living space was laid out in 1850 as a preliminary work for the manor in Lessenthin . The landowner of Lessenthin, Ludwig von Borcke, allocated 966 acres of land for cultivation to the new Vorwerk. The soil was partly mediocre and partly bad. In 1852 the place name "Elisenhof" was officially approved.

Around 1870 Elisenhof had 20 residents. 1 horse and 840 sheep were kept.

In 1871 Elisenhof had a house and 15 residents.

Until 1945 Elisenhof formed a residential area in the municipality of Lessenthin and belonged with this to the Regenwalde district in the province of Pomerania.

In 1945 Elisenhof came to Poland, like all of Western Pomerania. Today the living space is desolate. The desert lies in the area of the Polish Gmina Węgorzyno (urban and rural municipality Wangerin) .
