Elizabeth "Liz" McMahon (born February 27, 1993 in West Chester , Ohio , United States ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

society

McMahon began her career on the University of Illinois volleyball team , for which she was active between 2011 and 2014. After graduating there, she signed a contract with the Puerto Rican club Valencianas Juncos in 2015 , but left it again in the same year to switch to the South Korean champion Hwaseong IBK Altos . The diagonal attacker was active for this club in the 2015/16 season, where she won the main round of the league and was runner-up.

In June 2016, the German volleyball champion and cup winner Dresdner SC announced the commitment of Elizabeth McMahon for one year. In the 2016/17 season, the diagonal attacker was the top scorer at Dresden and achieved third place with the team in the championship standings. McMahon did not extend her contract with Dresdner SC, which expired after one season, in the summer of 2017 in order to be able to “train exclusively with the USA national team in Anaheim / California in the coming months”. For the 2017/18 season, McMahon moved to Volley Soverato in the second Italian division.

National team

Liz McMahon is a member of the extended squad for the United States women's national volleyball team . After a successful season at Dresdner SC, in which she was the club's top scorer, the diagonal attacker was appointed to the national team for the first time in spring 2017.
