Jean-Pierre Elkabbach
Jean-Pierre Elkabbach (born September 29, 1937 in Oran ) is a French journalist .
Life
Jean-Pierre Elkabbach was born in 1937 to a Jewish family in French North Africa . He studied at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and began his journalistic career in 1960 in Algiers as a radio correspondent. In 1970 he switched to television. From 1993 to 1996 he was President of France 2 and France 3 , from 1999 to 2009 President of French Parliamentary Television and from 2005 to 2008 President of Europe 1 .
He is married to the French actress Nicole Avril . His daughter is the actress Emmanuelle Bach .
He was made a member of the Legion of Honor .
