Elke Naters
Elke Naters (* 1963 in Munich ) is a German writer . She is considered a representative of popular literature .
Naters initially trained as a tailor and studied art and photography before she landed a great success in 1998 with her debut novel queens . Her novels deal with friendship and love , with interpersonal relationships and their failure. Often the protagonists are women.
Elke Naters has written numerous short radio plays for the broadcast series of Deutschlandradio Kultur . She is married to the writer Sven Lager and lived with him and their two children temporarily in Hermanus , South Africa , and later back in Berlin .
