Ellen Roosevelt
Ellen Crosby Roosevelt (born August 20, 1868 in Rosendale , New York , † September 26, 1954 in Hyde Park , New York ) was an American tennis player .
She won both the women's singles and, together with her sister Grace Roosevelt, the women's doubles at the US tennis championships in 1890 . In mixed she was successful in 1893 together with Clarence Hobart .
Ellen Roosevelt was a cousin of US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt .
In 1975 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Tennis.
