Grace Roosevelt

Grace Roosevelt (born June 3, 1867 in Hyde Park , † November 29, 1945 ) was an American tennis player in the last decade of the 19th century .

Life

In 1890, she and her sister Ellen Roosevelt won the women's doubles at the US tennis championships . They defeated the defending champions Bertha Townsend and Margarette Ballard in two sets with 6: 1, 6: 2.

Grace Roosevelt was a cousin of US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt .
