Ellie Russell (born June 6, 2000 in Shrewsbury ) is a British cyclist who competes on track and road .

Athletic career

Ellie Russell began her athletic career as a triathlete , but then began to focus on cycling. She developed a particular preference for track cycling. In 2014 she was accepted into the GB Olympic Team 's youth program.

At the 2018 Junior World Track Championships , Russell won the bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Ella Barnwell , Elynor Bäckstedt and Pfeiffer Georgi . The following year, she became the British elite team pursuit champion with Anna Docherty , Jenny Holl , Rebecca Raybould and Jessica Roberts .
