Ella Barnwell (born January 14, 2001 in Carmarthen ) is a British cyclist who is active on the road and track .

Athletic career

Ella Barnwell has been a cyclist since 2012. In the following years she won national titles on track and road in different age groups. In 2015 she won the girls' race at the Prudential RideLondon & Surrey Classic .

In 2018 Barnwell won bronze together with Ellie Russell , Elynor Backstedt and Pfeiffer Georgi in the team pursuit at the Junior World Track Championships in Aigle, Switzerland . The following year, she won silver in Omnium and team pursuit at the European Junior Championships in Gent (with Elynor Backstedt, Sophie Lewis and Eluned King ). At the Junior World Championships in Frankfurt (Oder) , she won bronze three times, in Scratch , Omnium and team pursuit.

In 2020, at the age of 19, Ella Barnwell became the three-time British Elite Champion in Scratch, Omnium and Team Pursuit (with Anna Docherty , Jenny Holl and Josie Knight ).
