Ellie White

Ellie White (born February 28, 1984 in Buzău , bourgeois Elena Baltagan ) is a Romanian pop singer, dancer and model. She became famous as the front singer of the Romanian dance trio DJ Project , of which she was a member from 2000 to 2009.

Beginnings

Ellie White was born in Buzău, Romania in 1984. She attended secondary school there and graduated from secondary school.

Already in the ninth grade she was interested in music; she learned to play the piano and violin and also performed at national festivals and events, e. B. Ursulețul de aur in Baia Mare .

DJ Project

In 2000 she joined the Romanian dance and pop trio DJ Project. These were looking for a voice from the front; Claudia Pavel joined in the same year, but left again in 2003. After a few months, the first album Lumea ta was released, which has been at the top of the Romanian Top 10 for a few weeks.

The songs Lumea ta ("Your World") and Printre Vise ("Dreams Throughout ") also reached top positions in the national charts and other various European countries.

In 2005 the second album Șoapte ("Whispering") was released, together with Elena Baltagan. This album was able to achieve the same success as the previous one. The song Privirea ta ("Your Eyes") became an instant hit.

A year later, the trio was awarded the MTV Music Award in Cluj-Napoca for their musical achievements .

On July 29, 2006, DJ Project released the fifth album Povestea mea ("My Story"). At the request of the Romanian record label Universal Music, the music video for Before I sleep (2007) was shot abroad and later shown on television.

In late 2009, Baltagan left the band due to personal reasons; her successor was the pop dance singer and DJane Giulia Anghelescu .

Solo artist

In October 2010, Baltagan released her first own single Love Again , which received positive feedback from the audience and reached a top position in the Romanian Top 10 for six weeks.

The following year, Baltagan published her second single, Power of Love . The song was produced by Laurențiu Duță and promoted by the Romanian music label Roton. The song Sete de noi ("Forever Mine") was released at the end of 2011. It was composed and recorded by the Romanian pianist Adi Cristescu, and the music video was directed by director Alex Caușu.

In 2012 White began work on Ziua mea ("My Day"), and an English version was also recorded. The video shooting took place in Malta ; The video was directed by Caușu again.

About twelve months later, she met the Portuguese music producer and DJ Kourosh Tazmini. At his suggestion to record and release a debut single, Baltagan went one. Then the song Feel was published and reached the top of the charts in several countries. The shooting of the music video was carried out under the supervision of director Alex Caușu.

Ellie White has been campaigning for children with heart disease and abused or abandoned animals in Romania for several years. She is a member of the "House of Hope" project , which is particularly concerned with homeless and needy children.

Personal

Ellie White has been in a relationship with Doru Tincă since 2011. Their son was born on November 28, 2012. In 2014, she announced that she was pregnant for the second time. She gave birth to a daughter in May of the following year.
