Elly Rono

Elly Rono (born May 5, 1970 ) is a retired Kenyan marathon runner .

In 1999 he finished fifth in the Grandma's Marathon and third in the Twin Cities Marathon . In the following year, sixth place in the Twin Cities Marathon, victories at the Columbus Marathon and the California International Marathon . In 2001 he won the Pittsburgh Marathon, the Ocean State Marathon and the Silicon Valley Marathon, in 2002 the Grandma's Marathon with his personal best of 2:10:57 h, the Ocean State Marathon, the Richmond Marathon and the California International Marathon.

In 2003 he was third in the Miami Marathon , ninth in the Boston Marathon , second in the Grandma's Marathon, fourth in the New York City Marathon and defended his title in Richmond. He celebrated three more victories in 2004: the Ottawa Marathon , the third time in Richmond and the Dallas White Rock Marathon . In 2005 he finished third in the Las Vegas Marathon , second in the Salt Lake City Marathon and fifth in Ottawa.
