Elmar R. Gruber

Elmar R. Gruber (* 1955 in Vienna ) is a consciousness researcher and parapsychologist .

He was a close colleague of Hans Bender at his institute for border areas of psychology and mental hygiene in Freiburg im Breisgau . He researches anomalous mental phenomena (AMP), the cultural-historical background of the so-called spiritual impulse . He undertook experimental laboratory research and field research on questions of magical effects among the shamans of indigenous societies in Mexico , the Philippines and India .

In addition to numerous publications in scientific journals, he is the author of many books, including the international bestsellers The Jesus Plot and The Ur-Jesus .

Gruber works as a scientific advisor for radio and television. A wide audience was he known as co-host of Rainer Holbe RTL telecast Amazing Stories .
