Elsa Lewinsky

Elsa Lewinsky (born September 27, 1877 in Prague , † after 1901) was an Austrian actress and opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Lewinsky was the daughter of the actor Joseph Lewinsky and his second wife, the actress Olga Lewinsky . She received her first artistic lessons from her parents. Later private lessons with singing master Reß were added in Vienna . Thanks to his support and support, she was able to successfully debut at the city theater in Stettin in the role of Agathe in Weber's Freischütz .

Lewinsky also became a member of the ensemble there and remained so until 1901. That year she accepted an engagement at the Saxony-Anhalt Court Theater . In addition to her appearances there, she also made several guest tours, for example to the Deutsche Schauspielhaus ( Hamburg ) or the German Theater ( Warsaw ).
