Elysburg is a census-designated place (CDP) in Ralpho Township in Northumberland County , Pennsylvania in the United States . The place is seventy miles (112 km) north of Harrisburg . At the time of the 2010 United States Census , Elysburg had 2,194 residents. Knoebel's Amusement Park with several rides is located here and partly across the county line .

Elysburg is located north of Gilgers Ridge , which stretches roughly in a west-east direction through the Ralpho Township, in a gently undulating landscape, but there are steep climbs in the northeast area of the CDP. Settlement areas and farmland alternate, and there are forested areas.
Elysburg is located on Pennsylvania Route 54 (Market Street) and Pennsylvania Route 487 (Valley Avenue) and extends along these two major streets and some of them directly or indirectly branching secondary streets, of which Center Street and Penn Avenue are the largest.

At the time of the United States Census 2000, Elysburg had 3937 people. The population density was 273.3 people per km 2 . There were 909 housing units, an average of 120.2 per km 2 .
