Emanuel Adrián Centurión (born August 25, 1982 in Lomas de Zamora ) is an Argentinian football player .

Career

Centurión began his professional career in 2001 at the Argentine club Vélez Sársfield . In the following years he came there for regular assignments. In 2003, the midfielder moved from the Argentine first division club to Europe for 2.5 million euros, at VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga . He signed a contract there until 2008. Centurión went down as the first leased professional footballer in German football history . The transfer rights were with KBM GmbH. The transfer fee of € 2.5 million was paid monthly in installments. When VfB is Centurión did from the start difficult. The offensive player made his Bundesliga debut on matchday 11, November 8, 2003, in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt , when coach Magath came on for Kevin Kurányi in the 83rd minute . In the course of his time in Stuttgart, Centurión received neither from Felix Magath , who brought him, nor from his successors Matthias Sammer and Giovanni Trapattoni a chance to prove himself over a longer period of time. After six Bundesliga games, the Argentine was therefore loaned to Argentina to his home club Vélez Sársfield in winter 2005 , where he stayed until the beginning of the 2005/06 season. In Sársfield Centurión came back to more opportunities and was able to win the Clausura championship. After his return in 2006/07, the midfielder was classified by coach Armin Veh as not suitable for the Bundesliga. There was no sale or renewed rental. Centurión trained with the amateurs, but as a non- EU citizen was not eligible to play. In December 2006 KBM GmbH loaned the player to the Argentine club CA Colón de Santa Fe for a year with a purchase option . Centurión still had a contract with VfB Stuttgart. This was canceled on February 12, 2007 at the player's request, retrospectively to December 31, 2006. In 2008, the midfielder joined the Mexican club Atlas Guadalajara . This loaned him to the South American clubs CA Independiente , the Chacarita Juniors and CF Universidad de Chile . In 2011, Centurión wore the CA San Martín de Tucumán jersey .

After he last played for the Argentine club Alvarado, he moved to the Uruguayan first division club Sud América in January 2014 . There he completed 13 games in the Primera División in the Clausura . In the 2014/15 season, 17 more appearances in the top Uruguayan league followed. He did not score a goal for the Uruguayans. At the beginning of 2016 he continued his career at CA Independiente and has so far (as of October 2, 2016) played five games (no goal) in the Primera B Nacional .
