In the middle the Mother of God is enthroned with the baby Jesus, on her right St. Augustine and St. Emerita - on the left St. Lucius and an unknown saint.

The Holy Emerita (* May 26th  ?; † at Trimmis ) was, according to legends, the sister of the English king Lucius of Chur . She followed him to Chur in what is now the canton of Graubünden to preach the Gospel as well, and suffered martyrdom there through death by fire .

A plastic representation of the Holy Emerita from the end of the 15th century can be found in Chur both in the high altar of the Cathedral of St. Maria and Michael and in the Lucius altar there from 1511. She wears a crown and a cloak with a clasp, plus a thin one Branch as a sign of their death.

Before the Second Vatican Council , May 26th, the birthday of St. Emerita , was celebrated as her feast day. After the council, there is no longer any memorial day for a saint on that date.

In the Ecumenical Lexicon of Saints , their day of remembrance is given as December 4th .
