Emil Eduard Otto Ege (born October 28, 1833 in Esslingen am Neckar , † October 15, 1893 in Stuttgart ) was a farmer and member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg estates .

Emil Ege was the son of Ernst Jakob von Ege (1791-1854) and Luise Ege born. Gollmer (1802–1848) and had six siblings. Two of his brothers were the prelate and general superintendent Ernst von Ege and the imperial judge at the imperial court in Leipzig Karl von Ege . In 1855 he married Mathilde Sophie Nau (1834–1895). He had six children with her.

life and work

After attending school in Esslingen and studying at the Hohenheim Agricultural Academy , Ege worked for several years as a farmer and estate administrator abroad. Then he was the tenant of the Schwärzerhof near Möckmühl and chairman of the Neckarsulm agricultural district association. When an advance and credit association was founded in Möckmühl (later Volksbank Möckmühl ), Ege was elected the first chairman of the supervisory board in 1879 and held this office until 1888.

From 1876 to 1882 and again from 1889 until his death in 1893, Ege, who was a member of the German Party , represented the Upper Office of Neckarsulm as a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg estates . In the 1882 election he was unable to defend his mandate against the People's Party politician Wilhelm Lang .
