Emil Forst

Emil Forst (born December 26, 1877 in Hückhausen , † January 23, 1971 in Wiehl ) was a German farmer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After attending primary school, the son of a farmhand worked as a farm worker. Later he was an independent farmer in Hückhausen.

Forst joined the SPD and was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament in May 1928 , to which he was a member until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 20 (Cologne-Aachen). In the Reichstag election in 1930 , he ran unsuccessfully for the Reichstag .

After the Second World War , Forst was again politically active. From September 1946 to November 1952 he was mayor and from November 1952 to April 1961 council member of the municipality of Drabenderhöhe .
