Location of Hückhausen in Wiehl

Hückhausen is a village in the town of Wiehl in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is about 4.5 km northwest of the city center of Wiehl as the crow flies. The neighboring villages are Wiehlsiefen , Oberbantenberg and Weiershagen . Hückhausen is located south of the federal motorway 4 .

history

First mention

Probably 1351 the place is mentioned for the first time in a document, namely "Aelf van Hudenkusen is taken during a robbery of the Bergische his household goods worth 10 guilders ."

The spelling of the first mention was Hodinchusin . A reliable mention was made in 1454 as Hudenkusen (Wiesbaden archive).

Hückhausen is also mentioned as Hudickhausen in the A. Mercator map of 1575 . In the fodder oat labels of the Homburg rulership of 1580, one Bergischer and four Saynian subjects are counted as taxpayers for Hoedenkaussenn .

Iron stone mining in the Hückhauser Hof in the 19th century is documented.
