Emil Kerle

Emilian Kerle (born September 11, 1877 in Weißenbach am Lech ; † December 9, 1961 there ) was an Austrian painter .

Life

The son of the painter Josef Kerle and Katharina Kerle, b. Pohler, studied from October 1903 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the painting school of Ludwig von Löfftz . From around 1907 he worked as a church  painter mainly in East Tyrol . His brother Josef Kerle was also a church painter.
