Emil Müry-Dietschi

Emil Müry-Dietschi (born June 15, 1872 in Basel ; † August 25, 1950 there ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( LPS ).

Life

Müry-Dietschi, the son of Johann Emil Müry , joined E. Müry & Cie. In the 1890s . a, soon became its director and remained so until 1936. From 1910 to 1916 he was President of the Swiss Association of Wholesalers and the Société suisse de surveillance économique . From 1915 he was a liberal Grand Councilor of the Canton of Basel-Stadt for four terms . From 1935 to 1946 he was President of the Swiss Sample Fair . In 1941 he was awarded an honorary doctorate in political science by the University of Basel . In 1942 he published his memoirs ( OCLC 601831362 ).
