Emil Michel

Emil Michel (born February 6, 1891 in Mannheim ; † January 7, 1972 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1950 to 1966 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After primary school , Emil Michel attended the Niederrheinische Verwaltungsschule and became a municipal official. His civil service career led him to the head of the cultural office of the city of Duisburg , where he worked until 1956.

Michel had been a member of the local government union since 1921. From 1950 he was a member of the public services, transport and traffic union . Michel was represented on the Board of Trustees of Indivisible Germany from 1956 and sat on the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Bonn from 1958 .

Michel was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 72 (Duisburg-Meiderich and Duisburg IV) from the second to the fifth electoral term. He was an MP from July 5, 1950 to July 23, 1966.
