Emile Schaefer

Emile Schaefer (born January 15, 1971 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf ) is a former German ice hockey player who played for the EC Bad Nauheim in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .

Career

Emile Schaefer began his career as an ice hockey player in 1980 in the youth of the German ice hockey record champions Berlin ice skating club , where he was active until 1985. This was followed by a change to the youth department of the city competitor BSC Prussia , for whom he played until 1987. In the following season, Schaefer moved to SB Rosenheim at the age of 16 and played there in the youth team. With the Sportbund Rosenheim he was German youth champion in the season 1987/88. The 1988/89 season he began in the junior team of EC Bad Nauheim , where he also came to some appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey in the 1989/90 season . In his last season, 1990/91 , the native of Berlin played for the Bad Nauheimers in the Oberliga Nord . By winning the championship, Bad Nauheim managed to return directly to the second division. In the 1991/92 season , Schaefer played for the EHC Unna for a short period of time before returning to the regional league for the Berlin ice skating club in December 1992 . Until the end of his career in 1999, Schaefer played for various other Berlin teams.

Schaefer began his coaching career in February 2009 at EHC Troisdorf as assistant coach of the school team. From the 2009/10 season he works there as a trainer for small school students.
