Career

In the 2012 season O'Neil, who had not played performance-oriented football since her student days at Stanford University, played for the Bay Area Breeze in the second-rate WPSL and was there in all ten season games. At the beginning of 2013, Portland signed her for the newly founded NWSL after she won an open training camp. O'Neil made her league debut on April 13, 2013 against FC Kansas City as a substitute.
