Emilio Carrere Moreno (born December 18, 1881 in Madrid , † April 30, 1947 there ) was a Spanish writer .

Carreres' main work consists of stories and novels , mainly depicting the life of the simple Madrid people. He was influenced by naturalism , mainly Émile Zola . Carrere also wrote poetry in the style of Paul Verlaine , whose works he translated into Spanish. Emilio Carrere Moreno was the official historiographer of Madrid.
