Emily Kaye Freeman (born November 24, 1980 in Huddersfield ) is a former British sprinter who is now active as a triathlete .

Career

In 2006 she won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg with the British team . In 2007 she came fourth in the British 4 x 100 meter relay at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka .

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 she reached the semi-finals over 200 m . The British 4 x 100 meter relay did not reach the finish in the final after Montell Douglas and Freeman failed to hand over the baton.

In 2009 she was seventh in the 200 m World Championships in Berlin and sixth in the relay. In 2008 and 2009 she was British 200m champion.

In July 2019, the 38-year-old finished third at the Ironman UK (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
