Montell Douglas
Montell Douglas (born January 24, 1986 in the London Borough of Lewisham ) is a British sprinter .
In her youth she was a high jumper , but switched to sprinting because of back problems.
In 2007 she won silver over 100 m at the U23 European Championships in Debrecen . At the World Athletics Championships in Osaka , she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and came fourth with the British team in the 4-by-100-meter relay .
In 2008 she broke Kathy Cook's 27-year-old British record in the 100m . At the Olympic Games in Beijing , she reached the quarter-finals over 100 m. The British 4 x 100 meter relay did not reach the finish in the final after a mistake between Douglas and Emily Freeman .
At the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi, she was eliminated over 100 m in the semi-finals and won the English 4 x 100 meter relay.
