Emily Gravett

Emily Gravett (* 1972 in Brighton ) is a British illustrator and picture book author.

Life

Emily Gravett left school at 16 and traveled the country with her partner on a bus for many years before they both settled in Wales. In 2001 they returned to Brighton, where Gravett studied illustration and design at the university there . Her first picture book Wolves was published in 2005 and was awarded the Macmillan Prize for Illustration and the Kate Greenaway Medal , among others . In 2008 she again received the Kate Greenaway Medal for My Book About Fear . Uwe-Michael Gutzschhahn translates your children's books into German.

Emily Gravett lives with her partner and their daughter in her birthplace.
