Emily Noor
Emily Noor (born March 5, 1971 in Someren in the province of North Brabant ) is a Dutch table tennis player who was internationally active in the 1990s. In 1996 she became vice European champion in doubles and took part in the Olympic Games.
Career
Emily Noor won 14 titles at the Dutch Championships , namely in 1992 in singles, seven times in doubles and six times in mixed. From 1987 to 1997 she took part in six world championships , where she came fourth with the Dutch women's team in 1987 . She was nominated five times for the European Championships between 1990 and 1998. Her greatest success was winning the silver medal in 1996 in doubles with Bettine Vriesekoop behind the German couple Nicole Struse / Elke Schall .
In 1996 she qualified together with Bettine Vriesekoop for participation in the double competition of the Summer Olympics. Here they could not prevail in the qualifying round. In 1998 she ended her international career.
In 1992 Emily Noor moved from the Tempo Team Amsterdam club to the German regional league team DJK VfL Willich , which she left in 1993 for Scheemda Groningen.
