The Mottener Forst-Süd is located southeast of the eponymous municipality of Motten and west of the Wildflecken military training area . In the community-free area there is an exclave of moths. The highest point is a nameless mountain with 592 m above sea level. NN . The Mottener Forst-Nord is not free from a municipality, but a district of the municipality of Motten.
