Geiersnest-Ost is a 19.61 km² community-free area in the Bad Kissingen district in the Bavarian Rhön . The area is completely forested .

Geiersnest-Ost is located south of the Schondra market , with the eponymous districts of Obergeiersnest and Untergeiersnest . The federal highway 7 divides Geiersnest-Ost into two separate areas. In the western area there are some exclaves of the market Schondra and the municipality of Wartmannsroth . The federal highway 27 runs through this area . The highest elevation in the Geiersnest-Ost is the Burkhartsberg in the eastern area at 502  m above sea level. NN .
