Neuwirtshauser Forest

The Neuwirtshauser Forest is a 20.69 km² community-free area in the Bad Kissingen district in the Bavarian Rhön . The area is completely forested .

The Neuwirtshauser forest is located north of the municipality of Wartmannsroth , with the eponymous district of Neuwirtshaus . In the community-free area there are some exclaves of the community of Wartmannsroth, the market Schondra and the market Oberthulba . The federal highway 27 and the federal highway 7 run through the eastern area. The highest elevation in the Neuwirtshauser forest is the Knörzchen at 505  m above sea level. NN .
