Emmaus Church (Munich)

The Emmauskirche is an Evangelical Lutheran church building in the Harlaching district of Munich . It is named after the biblical place Emmaus . The church was built in 1964 by the architect Franz Lichtblau and painted in 1970 by Hubert Distler . The image of the Last Supper in the window rosette above the altar is by Rudolf Büder .

The organ was built in 1969 by Wilhelm Stöberl . It has 23 stops on two manuals and a pedal . She has the following disposition :

Munich concert choir

The Münchner Konzertchor (formerly: Münchner Singkreis ) has been working closely with the Emmaus community for over 50 years . The choir rehearses in the rooms of the congregation and participates in the musical arrangement of church services.
