Wilhelm Stöberl
Wilhelm Stöberl (born October 1, 1929 in Kirchroth ) is a German organ builder .
Stöberl learned organ building from Michael Weise . From 1959 he worked as a voicer for Anton Schwenk and passed his master's examination in 1960. After Schwenk's death in 1961, he took over his company and continued the existing working group with Franz Wappmannsberger in Prien .
In 1975 he also took over the company Carl Schuster Münchner Orgelbau .
On January 1, 1994, he handed the company over to Johannes Führer, who continues to run it under the name of Münchner Orgelbau Johannes Führer .
In total, Stöberl built 120 organs with up to 15 employees, mainly in the Munich and Upper Bavaria area.
Initially he built cone chests , from 1965 only grinding chests and closed solid wood cases.
