Emmett Taylor

Emmett Taylor (born January 26, 1947 ) is a former American sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1967 , he won gold in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

Starting for Ohio University , he became NCAA champion over 440 yards in 1967 and over 200 m in 1968 . He set his personal best over 400 m of 45.1 s on June 30, 1968 in Los Angeles .
