Empada is a city in southwest Guinea-Bissau with 2267 inhabitants (as of 2009).
It is the seat of the sector of the same name with an area of 777 km² and 17,517 inhabitants (as of 2009), mainly Biafada with significant minorities from Mandinka and some Balanta , Fulbe and others. a.
Empada does not offer any special sights, apart from the surrounding nature in general.
structure
The city of Empada is divided into two, with subdivision into three quarters ( Bairros ).
The Empada sector comprises 85 localities, mostly rural villages ( Tabancas ). The most important locations include (as of 2009):
- Batambali (690 inhabitants)
- Darsalame (713 inhabitants in three districts)
- Empada (2,267 inhabitants in three districts)
- Francunda Beafada (1255 inhabitants in two districts)
- Gã-Comba Beafada (588 inhabitants)
- Madina de Cima Beafada (234 inhabitants)
- Madina de Baixo (387 inhabitants)
- São Miguel Balanta (387 inhabitants)
