Emst is a small village in the Hoge Veluwe Nature Park in the municipality of Epe in the province of Gelderland ( Netherlands ). 2.740 people live in Emst.
history
Emst was built in the 17th century as a small collection of farmhouses between Epe and Oene. In the second half of the 19th century it developed into a village with its own church. A schoolhouse was also built next to the church.
tourism
Emst is located in the Veluwe Nature Park and that is why many people come to spend their holidays there or for day trips. There are some campsites. Many people also visit the Kröller-Müller Museum nearby or take the opportunity to cycle in the park. The forest areas in the area are also suitable for hiking.

- Maitreya Instituut : Here courses in Tibetan lifestyle are given.
- Halt Emst : Emst used to be on a railway line. There was a pretty impressive station building at the stop in Emst. This was opened on September 2, 1887 and was shut down on May 15, 1938. The building has since been demolished.
- The mill : It is a very old polder mill. In 1699 this mill was renewed. A polder mill is already shown on an old map from 1634. It is probably about this mill.
- There is a facility in the village where trout are raised.
